Bicerin: Hot Chocolate with Coffee and Cream

How to Prepare

  1. Heat a small pot on low. Add chocolate and begin to melt. Mix in 2 tbsp. of sugar.

  2. Microwave 3 tbsp. of half and half for 20 seconds. Mix in to chocolate when chocolate is almost completely melted. Continue to stir and set aside once combined and thoroughly melted.

  3. Whip heavy cream until it starts to become thick but is still pourable. Whip in 1 tsp. of sugar.

  4. Add around 2 tbsp. of the chocolate mixture to a glass. Add around 4 oz. of espresso or coffee, slowly pouring it onto the back of a spoon to layer it on top of the chocolate. Add around 2 oz. of the whipped cream mixture in the same way.

  5. Stir as desired and enjoy!
